Contributing Color Pigment is one of the most misunderstood topics in the world of haircolor.
Starting with the name.
I have heard Contributing Color Pigment called: Underline Pigment, Under Tone, Residual Color Value, and a few other odd names.
But it really doesn’t matter what you choose to call it, because they all mean the same thing, and that is: The Color the Hair Turns During the Oxidation Process.
And understanding this topic is one of the major keys to understanding how haircolor works.
In today’s Haircolor Lesson I will share with you my favorite way to predict what the Contributing Color Pigment will be (Before you start the haircolor process) and how to use that information in your overall color formula.
Learn & Enjoy!
